An elegantly eclectic and fully furnished two bedroom guesthouse welcomes you, boasting a living room with vaulted ceilings and all the amenities of home. Wooden and scored concrete floors are found throughout with doors opening onto your own private porches where birds abound.
Our bath features a tiled shower featuring our harvested and filtered rainwater system with bath accessories, essentials, and large, thirsty towels.
The living room, dining & kitchen features an open floor plan with plenty of seating, including a comfy couch, chairs and a 50" HD Smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials.

There are 7 steep stairs up to the loft, please be mindful.
ABOUT YOUR HOSTS
Your hosts of the Star House are Kathy and Wayne Rossi. We look forward to having you stay at the Star House. After the sun sets and the constellations sprinkle into the night sky, you will understand why we call our special place the Star House! We want you to have a great experience, and we'll make your stay as relaxing as possible. We do request that you please sign the guest book to let us know how we are doing.
We have established this location as a Wildlife Habitat. We are always in the process of improving the land to encourage the trees and vegetation to flourish, which in turn helps to feed and house wildlife. See wild turkey, fox, deer, Mexican free-tail bats, birds galore, and so much more. You never know when a deer will be at your back porch greeting you with your first cup of coffee!
Wayne is a metal sculptor and you will find his artwork througout the property. After 30 years of successfully running his own sculpting business, he has traded the art show life for retirement. Many of the pieces you'll admire are available for purchase — please ask, we're happy to help you take a piece of The Star House home with you.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Star House. It is perfectly tucked away into nature, without being too far from food or activities. We were shocked at how many stars are visible and watched for a while. This place would be perfect for a meteor shower! Kathy was very responsible and accommodating and an absolute sweetheart. Wayne was very kind and we ended up taking home a few of his own art creations. We really felt right at home. We clipped a few green onions from the garden for our dinner, which was an excellent addition. Also, the goats are too stinking cute. I loved feeding and petting them, one of the highlights definitely. Thanks so much for creating such a welcoming and warm home away from home. We hope to be back very soon!

The place was exactly as described, and so were the photos. All communication was timely and precise. The home was sparklingly clean, and had a couple of unexpected touches like food and drinks provided by the host. After we booked, our parents decided to come visit and Kathy said it would be no problem to bring them along if we did not mind the small space. It was perfect, and having her and Wayne on the property in their own home really added to the feeling of being welcomed. We also lucked out in that the goats had just started having babies. You have not lived until you hold a 3 day old baby goat. Just a wonderful place, with lots of stuff to do in the area. Thanks so much, Kathy and Wayne.

We travelled from Missouri to Austin with no idea of what to expect upon arrival. After a very long drive through Texas, we were pleasantly surprised to see the beautiful area we would be staying in the upcoming days. Kathy and Wayne’s place is breathtaking with spectacular views that cannot possibly be captured in pictures. The Star House was perfect and Kathy was so thoughtful to leave so many special touches and accommodations to make us feel right at home. We will definitely return!
