The Star House maximum occupancy is 5 guests. Children age 3 and older are counted as guests.
STAR HOUSE RULES
Cancellations:
If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation for the Star House, call us within 7 days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation with no charge. If cancellations are received 6 days or less prior to your arrival date, no refund will be made. Your consideration is requested as we are a small property.
Fire Hazards:
For the safety of all guests, firearms, fireworks, and hunting are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property at any time. Inside the house, we do not allow candles, incense, matches, open flames, or smoking of any kind. We do have a closed fire pit available for guest use, but access depends on current burn ban and wind conditions in our area, which can change without notice — please just ask us before using it, and we'll confirm whether it's permitted during your stay.
Smoking:
Smoking is permitted on the patio and porches only. No smoking is allowed inside the STAR HOUSE or in any other location on property. Please use ashtrays provided on porches. A $400.00 damage fee will be assessed if there are signs of smoking within the house.
Guest Access:
Star House is a private, gated property. Only booked lodging guests are allowed on the property at any given time. The main house is off limits to guests.
Water Usage:
At Star House, we have GONE GREEN! We are on a Rainwater system. Use only what you need and never let faucets just run.
Checking In and Out:
Check-in time is between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
GENERAL POLICIES
Reservations & Payment Method:
When reserving on our website, charge card information is taken upon booking as confirmation. If using a charge card, we add a 3.5% fee to your total to offset our service fees. We appreciate your understanding! Our preferred payment methods include Venmo, checks, or cash. When booking through the Airbnb link, payments are taken directly by Airbnb.
Minimum Nights:
We offer a minimum of one night which is great for guests coming in for weddings and celebrations. Of course, we invite you to stay longer!
Pets:
We welcome one well behaved dog with an $85.00 charge if staying within a 3 night stay. If staying 4+ nights, an additional $25.00 per day will be requested. Please include the pet on the reservation when booking. We sometimes allow a 2nd pet with an extra $75.00 charge so please just ask when booking. Your pet must be kept on a leash when outdoors and crated or taken with you if you depart the premises. We have other animals on the property (goats, fox, deer, etc.) and more importantly, this IS the TX Hill Country and you never know what animal or plant they might come in contact with. We take no responsibility for any injuries to your pet when on the property. Please pick up all dog waste. If excess shedding or damage occurs, an extra cleaning fee will be requested. Guests take full responsibility for pet and agree to pay for any damages or extra cleaning charges.
Children:
We welcome babies 0 to 2 years old at no charge. Children 3 years and older are counted as guests. For their safety, we request that children 7 under sleep on the first floor.
